Bat Cat Rat! Learning to Read With the -AT Word Family!
Class experience
In this course, students will be engaged for 30 minutes on how to sound out words. Students should have a basic understanding of letters and their corresponding sounds before taking this class. The class will focus on "at" family words and will include words such as cat, hat, rat, etc. Students will practice the sound of the word family ending. Next, students will think of a beginning sound to add to the word family ending to create new words. As we are creating, students are encouraged to...
Students will accurately decode "at" family words and recognize the word pattern.
Learners will need a pencil and paper or a dry erase board and marker to practice writing words. Students will receive a printable emerging reader and "at" family word worksheet to practice at home after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
