Come join me for a fun class about Bats! In this STEM activity class, students will be provided a STEM bat model activity that we will complete together while learning all about bats!

Class experience

Handouts with hands on bat anatomy labeling and life cycle will be provided. Students will need some tape, scissors, a plastic drinking straw, about 20 q tips, and string (sewing thread is fine, nothing to thick that it can't be threaded through a drinking straw--the idea is our bats will zip line on the string with the straw attached to its spine) .They will also need an assistant to hold the other end of the string or yarn to test out the bat at the end of class!
