If you like basketball, and especially the NBA, this is the class for you! We will meet once a week to talk, make new friends, have some great debates, and play some basketball trivia games!

In this weekly class, students will be given the opportunity to practice speaking and listening skills while talking about their favorite teams, players, and all things basketball! My goal is to create a meaningful, comfortable, social learning environment where students discuss interesting topics and connect with each other. Students will make predictions about the NBA Season, who will be on the All-Star Team, win the MVP, Rookie of the Year, and other awards! In each class, we will also play some NBA Trivia games where students will be able to show off their NBA knowledge! Each week we will have discussions on teams, players, coaches, etc. from the NBA.
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence as they speak publicly about their favorite players and teams and be able to provide reasoning for their thoughts.

Parental Guidance
We will use Blooket, Gimkit, and/or Kahoot to play the games. All of these tools are free to use and students will not need to create an account to play. Some of the games, like Blooket and Gimkit do offer the students the ability to change their "characters" in certain games if they have logged in and created an account.
