Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
This is the second Basketball Math class. Students who have prior knowledge of the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) will delve deeper into percentages and averages, as well as practice with fractions and ratios. There are word problems and exercises that include real-life statistics from the NBA and NCAA. Because this will be a higher level of math, it is highly recommended to utilize a calculator for this class. This is an interactive class that includes video, audio, and pictures. Just like the first Basketball Math class, students (and parents) that are basketball fans will get to see actual highlights as well!
Learning Goals
Students will continue practicing the four main math operations, as well as percentages and averages. Fractions and ratios will also be covered. This class will further help students with their knowledge and understanding of math, on a more comprehensive level.
