Homework
1 hour per week. No formal homework, however students should continue to practice their techniques.

Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of kickboxing including; proper stance, movements, guards, how to throw straight punches and round kicks. We will combine these techniques and develop combinations. 

Students will get a great workout while learning some new skills. Techniques will be practiced in a shadow boxing style (unless you currently have a punching bag but this is not necessary). 

Class interaction will occur as students create and share their own combinations based on the skills that are taught.  Students are able to post videos of their practice which will will assist in sharpening their techniques and gaining feedback from both the teacher and other students. As well discussions around how a technique works and best practices.

Classes will begin with a warm-up, followed by learning and practicing the techniques, finishing with stretching. 

No previous knowledge is required. Student are encouraged to practice their techniques throughout the week.

The teacher is a competitive kickboxer, having represented Canada twice inernationally. As well as a certified Canada WAKO coach, most recently coaching at the Ontario Winter Games.
