This course is designed for individuals with no previous drawing experience. It serves as a solid foundation for those wishing to take more advanced classes in the future. Throughout this course, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the various tools and techniques necessary for creating realistic drawings. From pencil sketching to shading techniques, you will learn the skills needed to bring your drawings to life. I will delve into the nuances of pencil strokes and techniques, highlighting various methods for blending, and explore the principles of light and shadow to add depth and dimension to the projects. This course is designed to progressively build your understanding, beginning with foundational concepts and gradually increasing in complexity as we progress through the five classes. In the first class, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the materials used in drawing and the fundamental elements of art. Additionally, they will learn various pencil techniques to enhance their artistic skills. In the second class, we will delve into the topic of values and explore different techniques for blending styles. Additionally, we will learn how to convert 2D shapes into 3D forms through the use of a water droplet study. In the third and fourth classes, students will learn to create a visually stunning project featuring candles, gifts, hollies, and a shaded background with a polished border. The final and fifth class in the course will focus on creating your own original artwork, utilizing the reference image as inspiration. Join me in this course as we explore the art of drawing together. Don't forget to bring your supplies and let's embark on a creative journey together. By practicing these techniques, you will be able to produce realistic artwork of your own. You are welcome to ask me as many questions as you need during class, as well as outside of class. Additionally, you can message me for further assistance This course does not require any prior drawing experience. In fact, it serves as a foundation for more advanced classes.
