Balancing chemical equations is important to know when learning chemistry especially when learning about chemical reactions. In order to have a proper chemical reaction, the equation used needs to be balanced. In this class, we will discuss chemical formulas used for chemical reactions and learn how to make a balanced chemical equation. Students will be presented with an interactive lecture where they will be taking notes and working through practice problems. At the end of the class, we will review the material and have time for any questions. Students will need to have some background information on elements on the periodic table, writing chemical formulas, and chemical reactions.
Learning Goals
Learners will have a deeper understanding of the importance of balancing equations and be able to balance equations!
