Homework
1-2 hours per week. Practice outside of class is expected.Class Experience
This class is for complete beginners, those who have taken one or more of my other violin classes, or those who have already been working out of the book String Basics 1 or other materials. Skills such as reading music, practice skills, how to use the bow, and how to place the fingers on the strings will be built up in an age-appropriate and manageable way at the students' pace. Each time you sign up, we can review old material and polish it up and assign some new items to work on. We will mainly work out of the 'String Basics' method book but other teacher-provided exercises may be assigned (no other music/book purchases will be required). You can sign up for this class multiple times and the content of each class will be continuous from where you left off at the last lesson.
