Class Experience
Join us as we learn basic Spanish through common fairy and folktales. Each week we will have a new story to read with 5-8 vocabulary words we will focus on and practice. I will post 1 video each week (approx. 15 minutes) for you and your learner to watch. This a flexible class and there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. This is the perfect class for a student just starting out with Spanish. We will learn through visuals and repetition. We will make videos of ourselves, read stories, color, and go on scavenger hunts. Weekly stories: 1) Gingerbread Man 2) Goldilocks and the Three Bears 3) Hansel and Gretel 4) Cinderella The fairytales that we read will be the original stories and may be different than what your children know. This class will start off with 30% Spanish and 70% English. Starting off at this ratio will slowly ease their way into learning a foreign language without becoming overwhelmed right away. We will slowly change this ratio as the class progresses. This class does not require your learner to know any Spanish. Learning Spanish will reinforce your child's own language. The best time to learn a foreign language is at this age; their brain is designed for learning language. Learning a foreign language will enhance your child's English skills and will allow them to advance faster in their own language. By the end of the course, your learner will be able to say many words and sentences in Spanish. I look forward to teaching your son or daughter. I hope to see you soon! Hasta pronto!

I have been a teacher for the past 11 years. I first began in a brick and mortar classroom, but now I teach all my classes online. I have been teaching online for the past 5 years and use all kids of techniques to keep my student engaged and interested.
Outside of being a teacher, I am also a huge Disney fan and a certified travel agent specializing in Disney and Universal. I have been to 25 countries and counting. I am a world traveler as you will see in my very immersive lessons. Because I've been to so many countries, I am able to call on my cultural experiences and tie them into every unit.
