Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills, in addition to improving memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. Children proficient in other languages also show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility. Though many take language classes as teenagers, studies show that the human brain is most primed for language learning before the age of seven. I am an educator with over 13 years of experience teaching of children and teens. I am a seasoned teacher having taught language classes to over 1000 students with more then 300 hundred of those classes being Spanish courses. I hold credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education. I earned a BA from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa. My language experience has gone beyond the classroom as I have traveled and led programs throughout Latin America, including: Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. I am a dad of an active 5 year old and am active in his learning. I am skilled at funny voices and sound effects that make learning seem like child's play!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
