Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I believe self-esteem is the key to learning. Children gain positive self-esteem and confidence as they're given opportunities to explore in a positive setting that enhances their individual growth. This is why I am grateful to be a part of the Outschool community which provides that opportunity.
I'm excited to share my teaching experience with children and families. I plan to teach classes in many areas including, preschool education, kindergarten preparedness, elementary level reading, and math skills, science exploration, and simple craft activities. I've been working hard to gain lots of experience working with children. I currently own and operate my own preschool and childcare. I've had this successful business for 20+ years. In order to prepare for my current business, I worked as a lead teacher for the Head Start program and also a counselor for the YMCA.
I've spent some time in college too, earning an associate's degree in Elementary Education. I'm currently earning a Bachelors's degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. However, I think being the mom of three kids has been the best practice yet! Let's learn together!
