This short course will introduce the student to the basics of playing D and D. We will talk about the rules of gameplay, character classes, statistics, alignment, armor class, levels, spells, life force, and saving throws! There will be time at the end of the class for questions and an example of what the full course campaign will offer. My teaching style is casual but organized, and students are expected to participate and ask questions. This course is suitable for the beginner D and D player.
Students will learn the rules of D and D gameplay and the meaning of: character classes, statistics, alignment, armor class, levels, spells, life force, and saving throws. They will be ready to begin a campaign by the end of the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Fantasy violence, i.e. bladed combat, tooth and talon, breath weapons (fire)
