Description

Class Experience

The student will learn 6 basic puppy obedience techniques so they can raise a well-mannered dog. These are 1-The "long down" 2-making and using "the puppy string", 3-the "recall", 4-the "puppy sit", 5-the "place", 6-the "play retrieve".
I have 2 Good Canine Citizen awards, 2 years teaching a puppy obedience class, 4 years homeschooling, and 3 years online teaching.
Students should practice each new technique and add new skills as the class progresses. Training should take place for 30 minutes a day.
All supplies except for the puppy can be found on Amazon, Chewy, or any other local pet store. Supplies needed: 1-Puppy or young dog (3 months or younger) 2-550 cord ($6.99), 3-buckle collar ($8.99), 4- 6' non-retractable leash (preferably leather) ($22.99), 5-carpet square or bath mat ($6.29), 7-plush toy (not a ball or bone) ($5.38). Note: It is not necessary to purchase new equipment if the student already has these items at home.
I will request that each student try each technique individually and give immediate feedback.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
