- **Ms. Trina:**
Hello,
I am hearing and have been an Educational Sign Language Interpreter for over 20 years. I bring extensive experience in both interpreting and tutoring, having worked closely with deaf and hard-of-hearing students across various school districts. My enthusiasm for sign language is evident and deeply inspired by my own Deaf family members.
Assessment
I will give an assessment the first week to figure out which areas your child needs to learn. It will be done in both American Sign Language and written English.
Homework
I will provide homework for them to review. I will not give grades, but parents and I can discuss a reward system to motivate their children to do homework to practice and help me know which areas to move on or reteach during the next lesson. It also helps them retain what they just learned.
Collectively, this team is dedicated to delivering an enriching ASL learning experience that accommodates diverse backgrounds and cultivates growth.
