Learners will be taught different ways to add and subtract using visuals, real life, and hands on practice. They will understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from. Learners will be able to represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, drawings, sounds (claps), and acting out situations. Each learner will receive printouts for independent practice. This can be used to practice the addition and subtraction problems that are being learned. I will be available to communicate with learners as needed throughout the course. I will be providing feedback within 24 hours of receiving an assignment. This is a 4 week course.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My educational experience includes several years as a classroom teacher and several years as an online teacher. Whether in person or online I make learning very engaging so students will enjoy the experience. I know that if I can make learning fun, then the students will grasp the concepts even better!
I will be teaching beginner reading classes. My experience as a classroom teacher and an online teacher has given me the passion to make learning to read enjoyable for students. My goal is for your child to be encouraged, comfortable, and excited about learning in my classroom!
I am married and have three daughters. We love boating, camping, and going to the mountains together. I enjoy painting and have recently started gardening! I enjoy spending lots of quality time with my family.
