This class will be focused on basic contour and shadows. Cameras will be required to be on as I will demonstrate and have the students follow. I will teach application skills, show which tools work best, and give feedback for each student in the moment. It will be important that students have their own make up to use. A detailed supply list is given under "Learner Supply List". Below is the breakdown of class meetings. Meeting One: Basic Contour for stage and street Exploring our facial structure Identifying highlights and shadows Blending technique Eye shadow contour and blend Meeting Two: Make up looks throughout history Learning a 60s make up style Lipstick techniques Meeting 3: Old age make up Using our highlights and shows we will explore the stage techniques to create wrinkles and age spots. Bring a photo of a grandparent or elderly friend as reference!

Hello Students!
My name is Cleo, and I've been teaching theatre and dance classes for 15 years! I started my career in the arts as a performer and moved up to directing/choreographing plays and musicals. I teach many different types of performance classes, but I will be teaching dance and music on Outschool. My very favorite types of dance are jazz and ballroom. Fun fact: did you know that most musicals are choreographed with jazz dance? Modern musicals have started incorporating hip hop! Classes will be based on physical movement, so it's good to have clear space and stretchy clothes. Parents, feel free to join in! I'm sure you'll have just as much fun.

Cleo DeOrio (she/her) is Physical Theatre and Dance artist and teacher from Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Bachelor's degree at Baldwin Wallace University, where she focused her studies in Directing and Choreography. Cleo recently received a Master's degree from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she developed works such as Citizens of Nowhere and Visions of a Crying Girl. Cleo specializes in storytelling through movement devised physical theatre and movement coaching.
