Alot can happen in 100 years! The 1500s are famous because this is when King Henry VIII lived, loved and ruled Britain. We follow Henry as he marries six times, has three children, and changes the official religion of the country from Catholic to Protestant. After he dies, we see a fight for the throne and follow his children as they also make their mark on history. Perfect for students without any background knowledge, geared to make history fun and interesting! Making the topic...
* Students will learn who King Henry VIII was and why he was so famous * Students will be able to name the six wives of Henry VIII * Students will be able to name the three children of King Henry VIII * Students will discover the Tudor period of history
An optional homework assignment will be to explore Google map to find locations where Henry lived that can still be visited today in London. A handout will help the students to find these locations.
