Students will learn the basic knife cuts and review knife safety. There will be a lesson followed by a practical hands-on work time.They will prep the veggies for a basic vegetable stir-fry. A cooking demo and recipe will be included.

Students will learn the fundamental basic knife skills including cross chop, rock chop and tap chop. They will learn about using knives safely in the kitchen and how to properly work with a chef's knife. Students will practice the knife skills while prepping veggies for a stir-fry. Included will be a lesson and a worksheet for the learner to fill is during the lesson.
