Beginner Japanese course aimed at seven, eight, nine, and ten year olds that will have your child speaking full sentences.
Class experience
This course will be broken down into four lessons, with one thirty minute class for each week. Our week one class will cover introductions and basic conversation sentences, ie., hello, how are you, my name is, etc., with the goal being that your child will be able to successful introduce themselves and answer/ask a few questions in Japanese by the end of class. The second class will expand upon what was learned in week one, adding new verbs, sentence structures, and nouns to allow them to...
This class is taught in English.
By end the of this four week course, your child will be able to introduce themselves and ask basic questions in Japanese. They will be able to express their preferences in food and know a few basic sentence structures, colors, and animals.
Scratch paper and a pencil to take notes will always be encouraged in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each child will be given the Japanese version of their name. These names include a gender identifier (boys have 'kun' added to their names, while girls have 'chan' added to their names). If your child prefers a 'kun' identifier over a 'chan' (or vice-versa), please let me know ahead of time so as to be able to use the gender identifier that you want your child to have.
