In this course your learner will get familiar with the scratch coding interface. Scratch is a popular block based coding programming language developed by MIT.

Beginner Level
I have taught Scratch and computer lessons in-person to California school students for more than two years.
-A Laptop or a desktop computer with webcam, speaker and microphone (No iPad and Chromebook please, unless you want to use it as a second screen for Zoom)
-Using the Chrome browser is recommended
-Having two devices, one for Zoom, one for Scratch would be helpful.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The project can be completed without making an account, but cannot be saved and shared on the website. 
You can save the file to your computer without an account.
You need to create an account at https://scratch.mit.edu/ and sign in, if you want your Lerner's project to be saved automatically. You have the option to share the project publicly and the option to keep it private.
If you decide to have an account, please create one before the class starts. You can login and have the first page open by the time we start.
