Ear Training: Basic Introduction (Flex)
In this 11-week series of online, pre-recorded video flex classes, students will internalize musicfrom conducting, singing (using solfege syllabes), and notating/writing and transcribing music; the course will cover topics such as how to transcribe popular chord patterns, mapping song forms, and rhythmic dictation, enabling students to succeed in a contemporary music class by the Music & Language Learning Center by Kristine Dizon.
Class experience
In this course, you will learn how to internalize music through conducting, singing (using solfege syllabus), and notating/writing and transcribing music. The class will begin with the examining of rhythm and pulse that drives and measures, the music, and use this as a foundation for better understanding exactly what we hear.
