Basic Boxing for Beginners (Workout Class)
Class experience
This will be a beginners class on the fundamentals of boxing. Students will focus on strengthening and conditioning the body while building self awareness. This will be taught using a workout format, where the instructor will demonstrate the proper technique then give students a chance to try this technique with guidance. For this class we will start off with stretching, then a light workout to warm the body, to conclude students will learn with students learning a specific boxing maneuver...
Students will learn how to stretch specific body parts properly. Students will learn how to throw a proper punch while having proper defense. Students will learn how to evade a punch or an opponent. Students will learn a proper boxing stance. Students will learn how to isolate and workout specific muscle groups.
I have over 15 years of experience being a boxing instructor and a boxer.
Workout mat suggested.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need an open workout space, proper footwear (sneakers) no shoes or boots, a water bottle.We recommend students stretch before class in addition to stretching in class. Due to the nature of the class injuries can occur so we recommend parental supervision.
