Description

Class Experience

In this course learners will learn basic ballet technique. We will first introduce ourselves, which will be followed by some stretching. We will then start to learn the basics of ballet. The basics will include position of the feet, positions of the arms, movements in dance (to include, plie, tendue, retire, grand battement, saute, and so much more.

Now in my 24th year of teaching ballet at National Ballet Institute for the Arts, and holding my Maestro Enrico Cecchetti Advanced Teaching...

No materials are required for this class, however proper dance wear will allow better movement for the student and will enable the teacher to better see the students alignment. Proper alignment helps to keep the student safe. Hair should be neatly out of the face. A neat appearance helps to the student to focus.

Girls- leotard, tights, ballet shoes (pink), hair in a bun
Boys t-shirt, biking shorts (or similar fitted sports pants), ballet shoes (black), hair out of the face.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students should have a clear space to dance in so that they will not trip or get hurt
