Class Experience

If you want students to become enthusiastic writers, you need to let them write about what they know, or what they love. In this one class, I'll show students how to use baseball to practice descriptive writing, expository essays, persuasive essays, and even creative writing.

Writing and baseball have more in common than people realize. The more you practice, the better you get.

Variety is the key to keeping the team engaged. Some days you might want to get creative and send a shortstop to mars. Other days, you might want to practice you expository essay skills and tell your reader how to hit a home run. Mixing it up keeps writing fun and interesting.

Prior familiarity with baseball is required. Full disclosure: I'm a Red Sox fan!
