After you workout that week, please post in the classroom what your favorite exercise was and how you felt after the workout.Class Experience
In this class, students will have the chance to workout out at their own leisure and pace. I will provide 1 new video each week, for 4 weeks, and students will finish the workout sometime that week and post in the classroom, what their favorite exercise was and how they felt after the workout. Barre is a combination of pilates, yoga and ballet. It is a great workout for strengthening muscles and improving flexibility. It focuses on small movements of your arms and legs to create a burn. Sometimes weights are added in to give students a challenge. During the video, we will start with a warm up to get those muscles ready. Then we will work on arms using light weights. Next, we will move to the barre (or chair) and work our legs. We will finish up class with a short ab workout out and then cool off. At the end of each class I will give each students a challenge. This could be "how many sit ups can you do in a minute" (that we do in class) or might be something to work towards during the week like "being active in some way every day". I will demonstrate each exercise and explain the correct form that students should have. I will play music throughout the class to add to the fun. We will have short breaks for water throughout the class. Be sure to check the classroom as the following will be posted during the week: Monday: Workout video will be posted in classroom Thursday: I will ask a questions or post something fitness related for students to discuss. Layout of class: Warm up/stretching Arms Legs Cool down All fitness levels are welcome! Please reach out with any questions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For class policies, please see About Me section in my profile!

4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Barre Bootcamp - Intro
Exercise comes in many different forms. Barre incorporates Ballet, Pilates, and Yoga. We will do many reps of smaller movements encouraging toning.
Lesson 2:
Barre Bootcamp - Eating Healthy
Eating healthy is important. That looks like something different for everyone. Some people need to follow a specific diet due to allergies or medical conditions. Others just like certain foods. I always say, eat what you want but eat it in moderation. You can have the chocolate cake but have a slice not the entire cake :)
Lesson 3:
Barre Bootcamp - Are you up for a challenge?
In this video, you will be challenged to see how many sit-ups and push-ups you can do in a minute. Are you ready?
Lesson 4:
Barre Bootcamp - Just push through!
The final workout. We do a mix of past exercises and some new ones. What are your favorites so far? Do you have any you absolutely hated?

Parental Guidance
Parents should ensure their child has an open space to workout in. You have enough room if you reach your arms out and twist and don't hit anything. And if you bend over the chair and extend your leg behind you. Also, please make sure they have water because staying hydrated when doing any workout is very important.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida
I love fitness and believe it is important for everyone no matter what age. I have taught kids of all ages fitness classes such as barre and zumba. I am currently working on getting my official barre certification (Covid has unfortunately pushed it back and dates are tbd).
I work with each student to ensure safety and fun. I think form is very important so that you don't injure yourself as well as going at your own pace.
