Description
Class Experience
Learners will improve their understanding of tree frogs and the range of habitats they can be found in. Learners will also get an inside look at how biological field research is done with a case study of this unusual method for gathering data and then finding out how that data is used.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Ecology/ Evolutionary Biology. I have worked as a wildlife biologist, a classroom/ lab instructor, and a research assistant for the Biosphere II Center in Arizona. I am passionate about environmental studies and nature.
No homework. This is a one-time class.
No supplies are needed. Learners are encouraged to take notes but it is not a requirement.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No parental guidance is needed. No animals are harmed nor will there be any description of animals or people coming to any harm. We may view a short video clip from Youtube, (if I can find one that's suitable!). No subscription or account with Youtube is necessary for viewing videos via the screen share option. The instructor will send any video links he uses after class and no subscription or account with Youtube is needed to view those either.
We may view a video clip on Youtube but, for the most part, the teacher will show slides and talk about his work in the field of nature studies.
