Class Experience
Walking in a winter wonderland... For this Bark Club: Sew Simple project we will make a cozy fleece scarf for your dog! (Great for humans too!) Whether as a fashionable accessory or to keep snow off your dog's neck this is sure to be simple to add to your dog's wardrobe. (Note: Cat's can wear these scarves too.) This project will require the use of a sewing machine and pinning fabric in place prior to sewing. Fleece is a very forgiving material. I will lead you through step-by-step how to...

I grew up sewing and enjoy making home made projects especially near the holidays. I come from a family that sews and crafts. I have been teaching students a variety of craft skills in formal and informal settings for over 20 years. I love animals and am a happy member of our local dog walking community.
scissors (cutting board optional) pins and pin cushion sewing machine (please make sure thread and bobbin are ready) fleece material scrap -- use collar to measure length accessory: decorative ribbon
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This project will require the use of a sewing machine, if supervision is necessary please remember to remain off screen. Due to online format of this class, please make sure machine is in working order for class, as it is assumed machine will be sew ready - but understand sometimes issues may arise. Thank you for your support in this way. This project does require measuring, cutting and pinning. Please make sure pets are away from area student is working as we will be using pins.
