Who loves a good coffee shop drink?!? I know I sure do! I’ve been making my own Starbucks type drinks at home for years, and I am so excited to share how to do so with you, too! Learn to be your own barista in this fun class! ***Note: this class is also available for 8-13 year olds. Please click through to my profile to find class listings for that age group!*** In this 30 minute class, we will discuss and make two different drinks. We will be making a Double Chocolate Chip Frappe, and an Oreo Peppermint Frappuccino. The Frappuccinos will use a single, common base so students can easily replicate and modify the recipe for themselves in the future. Both are coffee free. Please see supply list and be sure to have all necessary supplies before class to ensure your learner can make the drinks along with the class. This is a hands on class. We will make a drink together, try it, and then make our second drink together. Please be sure to have adequate counter space and room for creating these delicious summer treats. This class does utilize a blender. Please be sure your learner knows how to use their blender, or be available for supervision while your learner uses the blender for safety purposes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Jessica, and I am a homeschooling mom to four children. I have worked with preschool and kinder aged children for over 15 years, and have done everything from running a preschool center, teaching classes, and designing curriculums for use by others. I also owned my own music business for a few years, teaching children 6 months-5 years the foundational aspects of music. I will offer your young children active, engaging, and fun classes on a variety of topics!
I have my black belt in mma (mix of Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, American Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), as well as a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu, and regularly teach classes to everyone from toddlers to adults. I love helping children make a connection between fitness/health and fun by making workouts a fun experience rather than one to dread.
I am a certified group fitness instructor, and carry an additional certification as a Youth Exercise Specialist. I love helping teens and preteens explore how they can be strong, healthy, and active individuals. I hope to give your teenaged children, whether they are active athletes or not, a great workout through a variety of offerings for fitness, strength, agility, etc.
I have a personal love for financial responsibility. Although I run several websites, I especially enjoy running my site dedicated to helping others how to live debt free and financially wise lives. I love teaching children about entrepreneurship and money matters through fun thematic units such as “building their own cupcake shop”, to help them understand money in a practical, meaningful, way.
I hope that my experience in these areas, as well as my background and love for teaching children will lead to inspiring classes that your children leave feeling accomplished, encouraged, and eager to come back for more!
