Description
Class Experience
This course is for young ballerinas, who have taken my level 1 class or who have taken a previous ballet class. We will start with the basics, including movement in a ballet way. By the end of the course, students will know the ballet positions and be able to move like a ballerina. At this age, ballet is really about focusing on the movement and technique. Students will be able to learn how ballerinas move and dance.
I have been dancing for 18 years in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theater. I was also on my college dance team, where our primary focus was jazz dances and I taught beginner tap and ballet at my local dance studio throughout my high school years.
Ballet shoes are recommended but not required.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents, please make sure students have enough room to move around and are wearing comfortable clothing that they can move in. Students should have access to water as well.
