Class Experience

This one time class is a great way to introduce your child to ballet! Children will learn the basic ballet steps and terms and will complete fun combinations that focus on these new concepts. This class will consist of a fun warm up and then will transition into learning some of the basic steps in ballet.
In this class, students will learn the following basic ballet steps:
-Ballet stretch
-First position
-Second position
-Demi plie
-Tendu
-Degage
-Saute (small jump)

*Dancers should be dancing in a safe space and safe floor, students are welcome to complete jumping combinations on an exercise/yoga mat if you would like*

This will be a fun and welcoming class where students will enjoy moving, trying new steps, and learning!

Appropriate Dance Attire:
If students wear a dress or skirt (which I suggest that they do not wear a dress/skirt to this ballet class), students must wear leggings or shorts under. Even if students wear tights with their dress/skirt they must also have shorts or leggings on under. Please no sports bra or crop tops.
