Class Experience

CLASS STRUCTURE:
The class will start on the floor going through a warmup and will continue with learning the ballet positions. We will be establishing the basics of ballet vocabulary using the barre (you can use a wall/ chair/ any piece of furniture around waist-height, accessible in your home). We will work on musicality and a basic understanding of the discipline of dance through a ballet lens. After we explore multiple exercises we will move away from the barre and go through a center exercise. In the end there will be a few minutes for discussion, questions and a body cool down.

EXPERIENCE:
This class is a beginners class so no prior experience is needed. If you are not sure if this class is right for your level or age do not hesitate to reach out and I will make sure we find the best fit that will serve your learner's individual needs.

-Language: English doesn't have to be your first language to take any of these classes nor do you need to be proficient in it (In fact it's not my first language either!). Just make sure you let me know in advance so that I find other creative ways to communicate with your learner as they are taking the class.

Parental Guidance
Just a few logistics before we get started: It is nice to join the zoom meeting a few minutes early (if possible, otherwise no worries) so that I can help you with your setup. Just make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes (if you have ballet attire, that's great, but if not that is totally fine). Find a room with some space to move (you may have to move some furniture around and make sure there is no cords or things you might trip over) and place your device on the floor so I can see your full body as you are moving. Other than that you are all set and ready to get moving!
Supply List
-Soft ballet shoes (if accessible) or socks
-Water bottle (if desirable)
-Comfortable clothing
-Ballet barre (If you don't have a barre you can use a wall/ chair/ any piece of furniture around waist-height, accessible in your home)
