This ballet camp is a creative way to practice ballet steps and bring stories to life! In this class, Mrs. Watters will teach four of her popular one-time Ballet Adventure classes as a camp. Our ballet class exercises will not only improve balance, coordination and strength, but will also tell the story of the day as we move through class. The level of difficulty will be in line with the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary and Primary levels, but no dance experience is necessary. These classes are ballet classes taught by Mrs. Watters, a certified Royal Academy of Dance ballet instructor. Although the emphasis is on theme, these are run as ballet classes which use traditional ballet class music and do not include any music from movies. Day 1 We dance the story of Frozen. Day 2: We dance the story of Frozen 2. Day 3: We dance the story of The Little Mermaid. Day 4: We dance an adventure in search of Fairy friends. Parental Guidance
Parents will not participate in class but please make sure a parent or other responsible adult is nearby supervising the student.
Supply List
Students need to wear clothes that they can move in and have a clear space where they can move around. Bare feet are best if your floor is slippery. If students own ballet or jazz shoes they can wear those, but dance shoes are not required.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
