Female athletes will learn how to develop their ball handling skills in this one month flex course-designed for beginners, or students who play recreationally.

Class Experience

-Students will learn the rules regarding ball handling, including: double dribble, travel, carrying. 

-Students will learn how to dribble in place, dribble while running, crossovers, between the legs, around the back, etc... there will be modifications instructed in the video if a student can’t yet accomplish a certain move. 

Students will learn how to set athletic goals in regards to ball handling. 
The primary homework is completing the workouts (5 per week). 

The student should take the feedback from Coach Cardwell and seek to implement it in their next ball handling session. 

In addition, there will be the weekly basketball clip which we will analyze and discuss via the Outschool classroom. 

There will also be a Kahoot or something similar each week to have an assessment about basketball rules, history, etc...
2 basketballs. 1 tennis ball (or something similar). Athletic shoes. A hard surface to dribble on. 5 cones (or similar objects)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be given feedback as described in the class description. Every video will receive a typed response from Mrs. Cardwell. Parents will be emailed each Sunday with an update on how their athlete is doing. 
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class. (specific links from instructor)
