CLASS EXPERIENCE: Let's make some soft, tasty Easter & Spring Carrot Cake Cupcakes! A great treat to make when you are craving sweets while ringing in Spring! I will be teaching the learners how to measure ingredients, mix it up, and bake it! Then we will make our frosting together and chocolate carrots to top our cupcakes off! 1 file available upon enrollmentINGREDIENTS: 4 large eggs 2/4 cup greek yogurt 1/4 cup canola oil 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup granulated white sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups all purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 3 cups of carrots = 3 large carrots pealed and shredded (PLEASE have this done before class) OPTIONAL: 1/4 cup chopped pecans 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup softened butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 cups powdered sugar 2 packages of Premium White Chocolate Baking Bars 4 oz each. green and orange food coloring SUPPLIES: Electric hand mixer for making the frosting measuring cups and spoons 1 baking sheets parchment paper or wax paper kitchen scissors 2 Large sized mixing bowls spatula whisk regular muffin tin muffin wrappers if needed for your muffin tins 3 pipping bags large round pipping tip 1 mug cooling rack
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental supervision is encouraged to be available if your learner needs help with the oven and maybe pipping bags. Ingredients may need to be substituted to fit your learners needs if they have food allergies.
