Class Experience

In this ongoing class, learners will be introduced to a new recipe each week. We will start with introductions and safety. Then we will measure ingredients and might get our hands a little dirty! Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome learners and families!

I love teaching elementary math and science, which I have over 10 years of experience doing. I enjoy challenging myself to break down harder-to-understand math concepts into ways that students find relatable and engaging.

Professionally, I have been a public school teacher for over 8 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, from George Mason University. I also hold a valid Elementary Education professional teaching license in Virginia. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (generalist, middle childhood).

In my free time, I enjoy baking, going on walks with my rescue pup, Tuula, and traveling. So far, I have traveled to 30 countries, even teaching in Uganda and Ukraine!
