1 hrs 15 mins in-class hoursHomework
1 hour per week. The one hour and 15 minute class time will not allow for all of the cakesicles to be made. You can continue on your own to finish using all the cake to make additional cakesicles. If you don't, the cakesicle filling tastes delicious on it's own or it can be frozen for future use!Class Experience
In this one-time course, students will learn how to decorate their own delicious and beautiful cakesicles. What is a cakesicle, you ask? It is like a larger cake pop (2 or 3 bites, instead of 1) or just cake on a stick. This class will only focus on assembling the cakesicles and decoration, so there will be no baking. Students MUST bring their own pre-baked and cooled cake for class. In this interactive class, we will need to use the freezer and microwave. We will start with melting our candy melts and preparing the cakesicle molds. Then we will make our own buttercream frosting from scratch. Next, we will form the cakesicles in the mold. Finally, we will decorate! Options for decorating could include sprinkles or fun designs. Questions and discussion are always welcome and an integral part of creating and learning together. *Note: Supervision (off-camera monitoring) is required when students are using the microwave and handling hot bowls. Students will also need to bring a fully baked and cooled cake to class. I recommend just picking a favorite boxed cake mix flavor and baking that the day before class or the morning of. Cakesicle silicone molds are also needed for the best possible class experience. Let me know if you have any questions!
