Description

Class Experience

Students will understand how yeast works, how to use it in a recipe, and how to make pizza dough from scratch.
After the first class, students will need to let their dough rise, then after one hour they will punch it down, and put in the fridge to rest overnight.
Before the second class, students will need to prepare their topping ingredients (for example, if they want peppers and onions, they will need to cut them up prior to class).
2-2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour OR bread flour divided
1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoon)
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8-1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and/or dried basil leaves optional
2 Tablespoons olive oil + additional
3/4 cup warm water
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will visually inspect the dough as it is made, and will look at their pizza before it goes in the oven!
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will need to use an oven on day two, and will need to prepare toppings (if desired) so may need help with cutting outside of class.
