Description
Class Experience
At the end of this class your child will be able to successfully bake coffee cake and be better acquainted with the kitchen.
I am so excited to get children interested in baking and being in the kitchen. It is a skill they will use for the rest of their life. I first fell in love with baking when I was 5 years old making chocolate chip cookies with my father. I have been baking ever since. I want to help spark a passion for baking in children and watch it grow!
For this class your child will need: An apron, measuring cups for dry and liquid ingredients, measuring spoons, mixing bowls, mixer ( hand or stand), spatula, a Bundt pan greased, cooling rack. 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2/3 cup butter or 11 tablespoons 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 2 beaten eggs 1 1/3 cups buttermilk 1/2 cup chopped nuts of your choosing
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Due to the use of an oven and mixer I recommend you be nearby to assist them. There is also possible allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy.
