Description
Class Experience
Students will take a world tour to the coffee hot spots of Central and South America, Africa, Asia, and even North America. Each week a new dessert will be presented to the class from one of the coffee locales with students either watching how to prepare in real-time or preparing the item as homework. A recipe will be posted for the students to follow. Homework will consist of the student preparing the dessert within the week (if they have not done so during the real-time teaching) as...
***If the parent schedules a class outside of the classes listed, please note that cooking classes need to be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Saturdays only as I have no access to the kitchen on the other days.
As a child, mom made sure that all her sons knew how to bake and cook. This necessity became a passion that still flows in my veins today. I worked in the food business while in college as well as after, and both a chef position and server. I have recently also began a small dessert catering business named, "That Dessert Guy". I feel I am qualified to teach any age that wants to learn and do so in a way that not only will the student know the basics, but will want to keep on baking.
With each recipe posted as the assignment, students will need to shop for any ingredients that may not be in the home. Ingredients will mostly be common items found in the cupboards, with the exception of a few extras. The price of the class has been set to allow for these extra items to be purchased.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
