Are you ready to bake some delicious desserts? Because this is a self paced class we do not meet in a live classroom. You are free to fit this class into your schedule when the time is best for you! There's lots of flexibility! Week 1 - Rice Krispy Treats This dessert requires only 3 ingredients and the stovetop. You're going to be surprised at how easy it is to make Rice Krispy Treats and the simplicity of the ingredients. Week 2 - Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie This creamy, decadent dessert will have your friends begging for more! It's salty and sweet and made from scratch! Week 3 - Chocolate No Bake Cookies No need to heat up the house by using the oven. Chewy oats, creamy peanut butter and delicious chocolate are what makes these cookies such a crowd pleaser. Week 4 - Dirt Dessert Oreos and pudding with a side of gummy worms? Trust me! This is a dessert that you can't live without. It's delicious and easy to make for a large crowd. ****Allergy note**** Peanut Butter Pie and Chocolate No Bake Cookies contain peanut butter. I love to cook and bake, but I have some other interests too. Teacher expertise and credentials
Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Westminster College
Hi! My name is Lauren, but my students call me "Best Teach". I graduated from Westminster College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I earned my Pennsylvania English as a Second Language Program Specialist K-12 certification. I moved to Shenandoah, Virginia to teach English as a Second Language in 2006. I taught over 40 students (K-12) at 4 different schools. In 2007, I moved to the traditional first grade classroom.
Since then, I have taught in many different capacities. I have taught baby sign language to parents, online for two years as an English as a Second Language teacher, and as a homeschool tutor. My most valuable teaching experience has come as a homeschool mom. I have been teaching my neurodivergent 15 year old son and neurotypical 12 year old daughter since the day they were born.
I bring a variety of classes to Outschool, because I like to pull from all of my interests and talents.
