In this one time class, students will bake a marble cake. This class is beginner-friendly, even the most novice baker will be guided through this class! At the beginning of class, the students should have all of their materials ready and within reach. The students will learn through step by step instructional PowerPoint while I help out any students that need a little more guidance. Each slide will correspond with a step in the recipe. Students will gain baking and cooking skills while learning to make a marble cake.
Ingredients • 330g (11.5 oz) butter • 200g (7 oz) sugar • 6 eggs (about 300g / 11.5 oz)) • 90ml (6 tbsp) milk • 300g (11.5 oz) cake flour • 1/2 tsp salt • 5g (1 tsp) baking powder • 80g (2.8 oz) chocolate Plus other baking supplies such as bowls, spoons, 10 inch springform pan, oven mitts, oven, etc. I will have a complete list in the class posting.
Parents should be available off camera if student needs help with oven. I've put 30 mins as the class time but have found some students take longer. I have allotted extra time for students who need it.
