What's included
Class Experience
What could be better than a warm cinnamon roll cupcake with cream cheese frosting made from scratch?! Maybe gooey brownies with homemade whipped cream...no, I know...chocolate chip muffins. It's definitely the glazed peach hand pies! The students will learn how to make these delicious treats from scratch. The class will be taught through demonstration, discussion and question and answer. Your learner is welcome to bake along side the teacher and will work on their listening and measuring skills in addition to gaining confidence in the kitchen. We will discuss kitchen safety throughout the lesson. Come bake with me! The teacher will post an instructional video of herself preparing and baking the weekly dessert. Videos will be broken down into smaller segments so you will be able to be caught up before starting the next step. The learners will not be left to figure anything out on their own. Each video will be clear and concise. Students will be required to upload finished product photos and comment on each others work each week. Students will add a photo of the finished product. Once finished products are uploaded all students will then rate each others work based off of how tasty it looks. Students will also answer questions and polls that the teacher will provide several times each week throughout the camp. For example the teacher will give options to add to the weekly recipe and the students will post their answer on what would be the tastier addition. Additionally students will post a self-evaluation at the end of each week and rate their dessert one to five stars. Learners will post pictures of their progress. They will offer tips to each other. Questions, photos, and comments will be shared throughout the week using the Outschool classroom page for discussions. I will also be available via email to answer questions and troubleshoot. Please note that this is a flex class and there will be no live classes. A full list of ingredients will be sent immediately after signing up for the class.
