This class is taught in English.
Math skills: Baking involves precise measurements and conversions, which can help children develop their math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions. Problem-solving: Baking can present challenges and problems to solve, such as how to adjust a recipe, troubleshoot a baking issue, or create a substitute for an ingredient. This helps develop problem-solving skills. New vocabulary: Baking classes introduce new culinary and baking-related vocabulary, such as "fold," "whip," and "sift," which can help children expand their vocabulary. Kitchen science and chemistry: Baking involves a combination of ingredients, heat, and time, which can help children learn about chemistry and the science behind the baking process. Creativity: Baking provides opportunities for children to express their creativity through decorating, experimenting with flavors, and trying new recipes. History lessons about how people used to eat: Baking can also offer insight into how people used to eat and how recipes have evolved over time. For example, baking traditional recipes or recipes from different cultures can teach children about the history and cultural significance of different foods. Fine motor skills: Baking requires precision and control when measuring, mixing, and decorating, which can help develop children's fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
At BornBaker our professional chef instructors love learning (and sharing) different methods of food and bake preparation.
