Students will gather the ingredients they need for this baking experience and will learn how to bake these cookies in three easy steps; measure their ingredients, mix the ingredients, and bake the cookies. Students will learn how to follow directions to bake cookies. Students will use the oven safely with adult supervision.
*Adult 1 box cake mix any kind (chocolate, vanilla, confetti, red velvet, spice, etc) 2 eggs 1/3 cup vegetable oil oven oven mitt spatula mixing bowl cookie sheet cooling rack parchment paper cut to fit cookie sheet 1/2 cup softened butter 1 cup peanut butter 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Students will bake cake batter cookies. Students will make peanut butter filling. Students will assemble whoopie pies.
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Adult needs to be present to assist in preheating the oven, putting in/taking out cookies, handing hot cookies
