In this live interactive class, students will welcome warm Hawaii sunshine into the kitchen by baking a tray of Hawaii Butter Mochi. Hawaiian Butter Mochi is an iconic treat made with sweet glutinous rice flour, coconut milk and sweet ingredients. A mix of Japanese and Filipino cultures create a dessert that tastes like a sweet warm Hawaii hug from the inside. Students will: 1) Follow along with me as we measure out ingredients. 2) Combine together wet ingredients. 3) Combine dry ingredients. 4) Blend both wet and dry ingredients and place in the oven. I teach in a casual, step by step fashion. It is my hope students will gain joy and confidence in the kitchen as they learn with me. This class is inclusive, which means students of all abilities are welcome. If your student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure that your child has the best possible class experience.
