NOTE: as of Fall 2022 I am returning full time to my in-person teaching, I am happy to book out a section for anyone who would like to give it a try, however the class must meet the learner minimum to proceed. Drop me a line to inquire about any class that has you interested. Much thanks and happy learning!

Hello! My name is Miss Abby and I love to engage students through hands-on activities, and active participation in learning together. I have worked as an Early Childhood Educator since 2007, teaching children ages 3-7. I like to use stories as a jumping off point to connect with more academic concepts. By bridging story themes, songs, movement, and activities to learning- I find my preschool students' engagement with the concepts soars, and makes learning synonymous with having fun.

My personal hobby for baking led me to begin teaching those skills in-person with young bakers in 2017. I since have paired baking with my love of books- to bring novels to life by baking up the foods we encounter in them. Experiencing the foods of other eras, places, and characters can spark fresh perspective on the stories we read. Thus was born the Baking Book Club series I teach on Outschool.
