Class Experience
In this 4-week flexible schedule class, students will make four different pie recipes: Chocolate Pie, Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Cheesecake. The students will make the recipes with the teacher's instructions (in the videos). The students will also be encouraged to post a picture or video to share their desserts with the teacher and other students. Students will improve their skills and confidence as chefs in the kitchen by practicing making pies.
I have been cooking and baking with my mom since I was a young girl. My mom, a professional baker, has inspired me to be creative in the kitchen. I now share my love of cooking and baking with my own children (and my family and friends). I am excited to share my love of cooking and baking with other young home chefs as well.
Students will be expected to follow the recipe to make a different pie each week. The students will also be encouraged to post a picture in the classroom to share their pies with the teacher and other students.
The students will make four different recipes by following the instructional videos. Each week, the students will be given a list of the ingredients and tools that they will need in order to make the recipe of the week. Students will also receive a shopping list for all 4 weeks before the first class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
