In this one-time class, students will make a delicious pizza from scratch.
Class experience
In this class, students will learn social skills, math, and science, as they work together with the instructor and the other students to make a delicious pizza (or two!). This is the perfect class for your kid who wants to make dinner for the family. The instructional style is completely hands-on, encouraging kids to get a little messy, make mistakes in a safe environment, and discover the science behind food as they create their pizzas. Students will learn math skills, science, social skills, and baking skills.
I have taught many baking classes on Outschool, and baking is my favorite hobby. As a child life specialist and a mother of two wonderful boys, I have lots of experience tailoring educational experiences to meet kids' unique learning needs. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
In this class, students will be baking pizza and will be using related kitchen implements, such as knives and an oven. Please provide the level of in-person adult supervision that your learner needs. A supply list will be provided for learners, and some ingredients may contain allergens, including wheat, dairy, or other allergens. Allergy-free alternatives are ALWAYS an option. Please reach out to the instructor as soon as possible for an alternative recipe or alternative ingredients.
