Come learn how to make rainbow cupcakes from scratch! Not only are these the prettiest, most colorful cupcakes you’ll ever see, but they are also the most delicious. We will spend our class learning how to make the cupcake batter from scratch, color each cupcake into a rainbow layered masterpiece, make the buttercream frosting from scratch, and then learn how to pipe it on! You will never want to eat a solid colored cupcake again! Please make sure to have all ingredients ready to go if you’d like to bake along with me!

Supply List
1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 cup cake flour (***see note below for replacement) 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter - room temperature 2 eggs 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup sour cream 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla extract food coloring FOR VANILLA BUTTERCREAM 2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter - room temperature 2 tbsp heavy cream pinch of salt 1 tsp vanilla extract SUPPLIES Stand mixer, hand mixer, or large bowl Rubber spatula Measuring spoons Measuring cups Muffin pan Muffin liners 6 small bowls (like cereal bowls) 6 small ziploc bags Piping bag and piping tip (optional, but makes your frosting look beautiful on top!) ***HOW TO MAKE CAKE FLOUR FROM ALL PURPOSE FLOUR- For every cup of cake flour called for in a recipe, measure one cup of all-purpose flour, remove 2 tablespoons of the flour and then add the flour to a mixing bowl. Add in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and whisk well to combine.
