Class Experience

Learners will be able to bake and decorate a homemade treat.
I have been baking since I was very young. Baking is one of my favorite hobbies and I am constantly challenging myself to work on more difficult projects.
The supplies needed will vary based on the challenge, but will probably include common baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, milk, eggs, etc. Learners will need access to an oven and other other baking appliances such as mixers, measuring spoons and cups or a food scale, and pans. A full ingredients list including measurements (imperial and metric) will be posted in the classroom a week before the challenge. The recipe will be posted the day before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will working with kitchen appliances, including ovens. Please ensure that your child knows how to do so safely and is supervised if necessary.

Recipes will probably contain common allergens such as milk, eggs, and wheat. Substitutions can be made when needed.
